The early days of JB

JB and his duck This is me with my favourite plastic duck...oh how I loved it so !

After living at 12 Clydeview Road for a little time, we moved across the street to number 13 to our own place. The top floor flat in a three-story tenement building in Greenock's Strone Farm housing estate. We lived there until I was a teenager. After that we moved the huge distance from 13 Clydeview Road to 12 Clydeview Road. At that time, I went to Mearns Street Primary School and then, once it was closed by the local council, to Hillend Primary. On the right there are two pictures of me in my Hillend uniform. I think I was around the age of 8 or 9. Spot the terrible cow's lick I had back then.
I was born on the 24th October, 1965 at 5.50 am at the Rankin Memorial Hospital in Greenock, Scotland. Greenock is an old shipbuilding town at the mouth of the river Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. For the first few years of my life I lived for some time with my gran. Below and to the left are a couple of pictures of me when I was baby. As you can see, I was a little chubby thing back when I was a toddler. As I got older I got skinnier. Now as I am getting older its coming full circle and I am getting chubby again...doh !

JB at 8 Which haircut was worse ? JB at 9 This one or that one?

JB and his horse I had this rocking horse for years. This was taken in my gran's front garden at 12 Clydeview Road, Greenock sometime in the 60s. JB and his cousins I am the one in the middle, in case you couldn't guess. The two young ladies are my two cousins: Agnes and Alicia. Agnes is the one on the left. I don't know where the picture to the left and the one at the top were taken but I would imagine they were taken in my gran's house around the same time as the sofa looks the same. My gran told me once that in the 60s photographers would come round door to door taking baby pictures. Looks like my gran or my mum got a couple taken.
